Too Much Walking (Lakad ni Sammy)
A day in the life of Sammy, nine-years-old, and his grifter father, Felipe. A toothache plagues Sammy while his father drags him around the city hustling money. A chance encounter brings forth the truth in the relationship between father and son.
This film is one of a diptych of films adapted from the short story “Some Families, Very Large” by Filipino writer Jose Y. Dalisay. Though each film stands alone, they both share one pivotal moment which impacts the characters in a different, poignant way.
