Okinawa Shorts

Since 2002, the OCVB Okinawa Film Office has attracted filmmakers and crew for TV dramas through our efforts in offering filming locations befitting the storylines, coordinating permits and cooperating to launch screening events. We have provided support and information regarding filming in Okinawa at no cost. Our efforts are a part of our work to appeal to the world the unique traditions, culture, and rich nature of Okinawa through films. Supporting domestic as well overseas filmmakers mainly from Asia such as Korea and China, we are working to polish the image of Okinawa, and at the same time, utilizing our efforts to promote tourism and vitalize our region. Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival

Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival ( JAFF ) is a premier Asian film festival in Indonesia focusing on the development of Asian cinema. This festival not only contributes to introducing Asian cinema to a wider public in Indonesia, but it also provides a space for the intersection of many sectors such as arts, culture, and tourism. Since its inception, JAFF has worked closely with NETPAC (Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema), a worldwide organization of 30 member countries. Headquartered in Colombo Srilanka, NETPAC is a pan-Asian film and cultural organization involving critics, filmmakers, festival organizes and curators, distributors and exhibitors, as well as educators. It is considered a leading authority in Asian cinema. Each year, JAFF presents several awards to the best films in Asia such as Golden Hanoman Award, Silver Hanoman Award, NETPAC Award, Blencong Award and Geber Award to express the deepest appreciation for Asian cinema.

Viddsee Shortee

Viddsee Shortee Award celebrates the most watched, shared and talked about Asian short film on Viddsee every month. The awarded Viddsee Shortee film of each month will win a Nikon D7200 camera kit (with 18-105mm) worth over S$1700 sponsored by the official camera partner Nikon. Submit your film here at Viddsee Creator to stand a chance being the next Viddsee Shortee! All films selected to be on Viddsee will be eligible for the Viddsee Shortee Award. The prizes will be eligible for the winners of Viddsee Shortee May 2015 to Viddsee Shortee April 2016. Announcement of the Viddsee Shortee film each month will be on the first Monday of every month.

Scream Queen Filmfest Tokyo

Scream Queen Filmfest Tokyo (SQFFT) is a film festival dedicated to showcase and promote female filmmakers in the horror genre. Launched in 2013 and held annually in Tokyo with tour screenings around Japan throughout the year, SQFFT is passionate about sharing unique and diverse visions that female artists bring to horror. In partnership with Viddsee, we are pleased to bring some of the best Asian genre shorts from our official selections. SQFFT continues to support and celebrate the art and cinematic contribution of women genre filmmakers from around the world.

Youth Film Festival

Established in 2004, Youth Film Festival originates from Youth Film Festival in Southern Taiwan- a festival platform for Film/Video students. In recent years, especially with the combination of Youth Innovative Design Festival, the core value is now transformed into a memorable experience between students. In being the largest film competition for sprouting young filmmakers, the competition is specifically tailored to nationwide students who are fuelled by the passion of cinema. Youth Film Festival is undoubtedly the international portal that provides selective films from Taiwan to compete internationally. In 2015, Youth Film Festival launches its official selection onto Internet, following the trendy footsteps of portable phone network. By simply tapping on the phone, the public is enabled to browse the latest news, and watch live streams with our modern reading habits. Being able to access information on the website is an unrestricted festival experience- an opportunity for actual events to take part in diverse social networks, creating groundbreaking concept of film festival in the cloud. Youth Film Festival aims to promote film shorts produced locally in Kaohsiung, especially through the eyes of young, and venturing filmmakers who are daring enough to be experimental in all levels, and fully spirited to ponder on the originality of films.

XXI Short Film Festival

XXI Short Film Festival is the biggest short film festival in Indonesia, held by Cinema XXI. As the biggest cinema exhibitor in the nation, Cinema XXI organizes the XXI Short Film Festival every year to cultivate and nurture the next generation of filmmakers that will serve as the backbone of Indonesian film industry in the future. The festival is also held as part of Cinema XXI's program to reach out to the development of local film made by film communities across Indonesia

ifva

Organised by Hong Kong Arts Centre, ifva is an Incubator for Film and Visual media in Asia (formerly the Hong Kong Independent Short Film and Video Awards). Founded in 1995, ifva serves as a platform that actively promotes and encourages creative talents in Asia, making short films, videos, animation and media art. With a cutting-edge vision and highlight independent spirit, ifva has evolved to promote different visual cultures while exploring the boundless potential of creative media. In addition to the annual competition and festival, ifva curates a host of programmes under two initiatives, “Cultivation” and “Engagement”. Tropfest SEA 2015

Tropfest, Australia's hottest film export since Nicole Kidman, has found its newest home in Malaysia. Tropfest South East Asia, the Asian edition of the world's largest short film festival, is a platform for the region's most talented storytellers to share their short films with the world. Free to attend, the festival features celebrity judges, live music, film talks and the world première of the finalists' films. Asian Ciné Salon

Asian Ciné Salon is the one and only monthly film festival in Taiwan, held by the Taiwan Korea Film, Culture and Arts Association, aiming to promote the creation of new cinematic works by young film talents from Taiwan, Korea and throughout Asia. Its mission is to encourage the independent film community and to promote the critical appreciation of this art form through film screenings and talks by directors and experts from across the region.

HK Cinema, The Next Generation

The School of Film and Television was established by the Academy in September 1996. The School aims to be a professional centre of excellence and to both reflect and influence existing practice in the local film and television industries.The School offers a four-year Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) Degree programme in Film and Television with six major studies (Production Administration, Directing, Screenwriting, Cinematography, Editing and Sound), and a two-year Master of Fine Arts Degree programme in Cinema Production targeting at producing a feature-length narrative and/or documentary film at the end of the programme.In particular the School aims to train the students to create as a team. Film and Television is about teamwork. The director is one of a team and so are other positions, each making his/her own particular creative and technical contribution to the whole. 香港演藝學院電影電視學院於一九九六年九月正式成立,本學院旨在成為卓越的影視專業教育中心,以反眏及影響本地電影電視業的製作。本學院提供一個四年制電影電視學位課程,及一個較深入的二年制電影製作藝術碩士課程。其中學位課程設有六項專修學科,完成後將獲頒發藝術學士(榮譽)學位。這些課程旨在培養學生有關影視制製作的技術,致力提升他們的藝術創作潛能,以預備他們擔當各種影視創作、技術及專業的工作。此外,課程更著重教導學生從事集體創作。電影電視行業講求合作性,導演、製片、音響師、編劇、剪接師及攝影師都同樣重要,各成員均在自己的崗位上對整體製作作出創作及技術上的貢獻。
